💻 Technology at CRMS

At Chesterfield-Ruby Middle School, we are proud to be a 1:1 school — that means every student is issued their own laptop to use during the school year for educational purposes. This helps ensure all students have equal access to digital tools that support learning.

 

📚 Learning Tools We Use:

  • i-Ready – Personalized lessons in reading and math.

  • IXL – Extra skill-building practice in core subjects.

  • Google Classroom – Teachers post assignments, resources, and class updates here.

📝 Technology Expectations:

  • A Technology Agreement must be signed by both the student and a parent/guardian before a laptop is issued.

  • Students are expected to only visit websites and use apps that they have been given explicit permission to use for schoolwork.

  • Inappropriate use of technology may result in consequences.

 

🛡️ Online Monitoring with Classwise:
To help keep students safe and focused, we use Classwise, a monitoring tool that allows teachers and staff to view what students are doing online during the school day.
